Morning Has Broken

Here's what happens after dyeing fabric, then free motion quilting it and then painting with both transparent and metallic textile paints. Texture extraordinaire.

Very scuptural! Is this one of your small pieces or a larger hanging?

So beautiful - I can see it is small, but would love to know the size. I have yet to be brave enough to paint after stitching.....

Thank you for your comments. This piece will end up being about 10x10 unless I expand it with borders to make it a bit larger.

Mel, it actually isn't handstitching...it's free motion machine quilting.
