I think I'm getting there....not quite sure where there is but it's a fantabulous explorative journey. I'm sure some of you already know this but I didn't and I stumbled on this technique in one of those oh-what-the-heck-let-me-try-it-moments.....painting the fabric first and then dyeing it creates great texture and saturated coloring. I'm having great fun.

The pieces of fabric look lovely Denise.....The paint must act as a resist, so does the dye settle in areas not painted?

Yes, it does Cynthia and also can get underneath the colors a bit because I scratch, rub, manipulate and mangle the painted cloth (on purpose).

Hi Denise!
It's me - your forever fan who lovvvvvvvvvvves all your art!!!
BTW, you've been tagged!...
Here's the scoopidy-doopidy: When you are "tagged" please give 7 random facts about your sweet self on your blog.
Please write things that are a habit, unusual, or that no-one else knows, as well as the rules of the game.
You then need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog.
Please leave a post on the blogs of those you tag so they know that they have been tagged and to read your blog...and tag 7 more and so on.
No worries. No pressure. No time constraints - just enjoy ~ xo ~
Love ya!

oh, I LOVE the look of it. I wish I could touch it. I love using that technique in painting - scratching, rubbing, sanding, etc.
