Went to pastel class last night and did this. I've been toying around with the idea of trying oils (never, ever have touched them) but think I'm just going to continue working with pastels. Like Shawn Dell Joyce is fond of saying "It's advanced finger painting".

Nice piece, I love that hot pink with the lime green colors, I've been working them alot lately. Take classes!!!!Lots of classes, JUMP Only good can come out of jumping out of our comfort zones and trying new things. Have you thought of acrylics? They have some really cool stuff out there that act more like oils (golden opens) and the clean up is easier.
I started with acrylics and still work with them but I love my oils too. Good Luck with whatever you tackle!
