Not Those PrePrinted for Embroidery Pillowcases, For Sure

I started this piece months ago. It's the type of thing that gets picked up and put down - often. One minute I love it and then the next day - not so much. I worked on it again yesterday and decided that we can resume our love affair. Abstract embroidery - hmmmm.... I wonder if my grandmother is turning over in her grave?

I'm sure my first fiber art teacher would be! How oh how would she know if you'd "done it right"! -- me on the other hand thinks its the cat's meow :-)

My grandmother was the family iconoclast, so she'd be jumping up and down and calling out "go, go!" And not neglecting to comment on the fineness of the workmanship in the context of the free expression of ideas. She did have standards.

This is great! I love experimenting like this and know what you mean about the love/hate relationship as a piece progresses.

I absolutely love your abstract embroidery. All of the wonderful textures and colors to explore.
