Monotype Gelatin Prints

Scrapped the Marks 6x8"s in lieu of some monotype gelatin prints I did awhile back. These will be submitted to the Beacon Open Studios gallery call. I forgot how much I love gelatin print painting and the effects that can be achieved. 2012 will be a great year to do some more!

Hi! Sounds like 2012 is going to be good for you!
Not wildly enthusiastic about gelatin myself, I can, nevertheless, appreciate good work by others. And that bottom one is good. Reminds me of trilobites.
Cheers!
Love the first one. I made gelatin prints with a friend and her kids and it was so fun. I need to schedule another gelatin print party. :-) Is it okay if I pin one of your images to art I love on Pinterest?

Now...on my long lists of things I want to take up...is gelatin printing...sigh...perhaps this is the year!!
Your pieces are great!! Just the inspiration I need to give this a try....
Thanks Dina, Dixie and Dave from Denise (couldn't resist continuing the D Thing!). Gelatin printing can create scrumptious results. Dave, get yourself to the store and stock up on Knox. Dixie plan the party and Dina? the trilobites are exactly trilobites made with a stamp I hand carved.
