Postcards

Soooo....have I ever mentioned how much I like producing art in the 4x6" size?....I know, only about 53 times....
This card was created by over painting commercial & hand dyed fabric that was already quilted. After adding a few hand stitches and some beads I was happy with the results.
Happy Monday all...it's hot and humid here in NY....I'm already tired!

Great work, Denise - hope to see you work in person one day...........

53! I have never made so many versions of one thing, very impressive.

This "quilt first" idea is very appealing. Virginia Spiegel just mentioned it on her blog as well

Hi, Denise - it's amazing what the hand-stitches do. I just got back from your state - went to Rochester to the Strong Museum and then to Niagara and a day to just have fun. It was beautiful there.

I love the simplicity of this one.
